Who I am now has been a long and wonderful road that I am happy to have traveled. I am Jennifer Perski, first a wife to Brian, who has been my number one supporter, my loudest cheerleader, and my best friend. Next I am a mom to my sons Daniel, Nathan and William. And last I am an artist, but it took being a wife and mom to find myself and my love of creation.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a very crafty family. My father was always building with wood and I will never forget the HUGE bookshelf he built when i was very young. It was a place for my dolls, so my room would not be so messy. Ah, but with a little girls imagination, this became the grand hotel in Barbie land. I spent many many hours playing with my beloved Barbies in that hotel/bookshelf.
My beautiful mother was a full time worker who had taught herself many crafts. One being crochet and another cross stitch, both she passed down to my sister and myself. My mother would be crocheting an afghan and with the scraps, I'd be designing the perfect barbie skirt for her date with Ken. The beginning of my creations was here.
I also have to mention that my maternal grandmother, Grandma Moore, Grams as i called her, had the best dolls. They were these old dolls kept in the attic, but Grams would give my cousins and I clothes to dress them, and encouraged us to have tea parties and such. How wonderful to help our imaginations grow. This is how my love of dolls began!!
And I cannot forget Grandma Leturgey. She could sew!! My Dad's Mother was the ace at quilts. She taught me to sew by hand and how pieces went together. So many things about sewing I learned from her. After Daniel was born, I discovered the internet. Even though I was home, I made so many friends. Phylis Hunt was one of my first online friends and she shared my love for Barbie and sewing Barbie clothing. Well the more I wanted doll money the more I needed a way to make my own. But then, My husband told me about Ebay, and this Ebayer was born. I could sew for Barbie, and sell on Ebay.
I never knew that I could do so well and I never knew there were so many different types of dolls. The more I sewed, The more I was asked to sew, But not just for Barbie. I was introduced to Gene and Trent, And Then came Tyler and Matt, as well as Dollikins, Revlons, American Girl and Magic Attic. So many more, too many to mention. And I love sewing and crocheting for them all!!!!!
For many years I never knew what I wanted to do with myself, but I knew I wanted to be a Mom and to be home with my children. I was lucky enough to meet Brian, who shared the same views as me. We agreed, he would work and I would stay home, once children came along.
